There are 3 types of public speaking categories in this CDE.

 

• First is the Prepared Speaking category. This is where students produce a speech before the competition date and present it to the judges.

• Next is the Extemporaneous speaking category. This is where the student draws 3 topics out of a hat, choosing one, and then produces a speech for the judges.

​​

• The final kind is Creed speaking. This is where greenhands members present the FFA Creed to a group of judges and is asked questions after.
